Welcome back to the Spring Term! I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas break!
This term Year 2's Topic will be 'Long, long ago'. We will be learning about things that happened in the past. In particular we will be learning about the important work of the nurses Florence Nightingale, Mary Seacole and Edith Cavell.
Below you will find a picture of Florence Nightingale with some colourful dots on it. If you click on the dots you will be taken to websites about these significant nurses. On these websites you can learn about what they did and also play some games! Have fun!
Animals and their Habitats!
In Year 2, we are learning all about animals and where they like to live. We have been thinking about different types of habitats you can find in England and also habitats around the whole world!
If you would like to learn more about habitats follow these links. There are lots of fantastic videos you can watch!
Remember to tell me and the rest of Year 2 what you find out!

Welcome to Year 2!
We love learning in Year 2 and have had such a fantastic start to the year already. Our first topic for the Autumn term is 'We have wings'. We started the year thinking about owls and the story 'Owl Babies'. We even had a special visit from some owls! It was a wonderful experience!
We have now begun to think about superheroes- especially superheroes that can fly! We have been really enjoying the story 'Eliot Midnight Superhero' and have used it to inspire our own writing.
In Year 2 we are fantastic learners- we are learning to persevere, listen, question, explore, polish our work, think and explain our thinking. We love working in our learning partners, by ourselves and in groups.
We hope you enjoy our class page!
