Hi Puffins! Miss Rhodes here!
I'm so pleased to be back helping you learn. I hope you are all happy and well and can take part in the activities I have set out in the Puffins Activities below. Send in as many pictures and videos as you like, I would love to see what you are doing.
In the document I have made an English column, which includes a suggestion for phonics you can practise every day, including 4 lots of spellings practise (which kind of ties in with phonics). There is quite a lot to cover in terms of spellings so just see how you get on. Some feedback on this would be great!
Then there are suggestions for storytime plus some handwriting activity suggestions, which you can do as often as you like.
Additionally, for reading and writing, there are 4 sessions which you will find instructions for in the English sessions Rainbows booklet below. Just do the pages I have listed and save the rest for the following two weeks. This would be best done with a grown up to help.
For Maths, we are continuing with the White Rose lessons.
There is also a Topic column with some art, science and history activities and a Motivation column with some more active challenges.
The activities are set out so you can do a phonics and spellings session 4-5 days a week, a reading and writing session 4 days a week, a maths session 4 days a week, plus 6 Topic and Motivation activities which vary from short to long, so you can pick and choose.
